SUMMARY
As a Parking Attendant, you will help create a safe and welcoming experience for guests accessing our parking facilities. The ideal candidate for this role must have strong leadership and communication skills. We offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for extra hours during peak season. This position is event based; therefore, you will be scheduled to meet the demands of our Lumen Field Event Calendar.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet and assist customers with parking inquiries, provide directions to available spaces, as well as address concerns or complaints in a professional manner
  • Manage point of sale transactions via credit/debit cards accurately and efficiently process event-day parking passes
  • Direct traffic in and out of the garage and surface lot to ensure a smooth, safe and efficient flow of vehicles
  • Regularly monitor traffic flow
  • Make regular rounds throughout the parking facility to ensure parking facilities meet safety and cleanliness protocols
  • Regularly check parking equipment and gates to ensure everything is functioning properlyReport any malfunctions to supervisor for prompt repair
  • Ensure guests park in designated parking locations only
  • Provide guidance, ensuring compliance with parking rules and regulations

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must have continual reliable access to email and/or smartphone to update availability, check schedules and read event information
  • Ability to operate point of sale systems
  • Great customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm and adapt in a fast paced, high-energy environment

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances during shifts
  • Ability to work outside including in inclement weather although primary work assignments are based in a covered booth
  • This position is frequently required to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Required to have open availability to work nights, weekends and holidays as dictated by the event schedule
  • This role is represented by Teamsters 117 and union membership is required upon hire
 WEEKLY HOURS
  • 20 - 30 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours during peak season. During the event season, parking attendants may be required to work beyond an eight-hour shift, as the demand for parking increases
